Description

The AR coating of the lens helps to mitigate these reflections by altering the refractive index of the lens surface. The E4K has electronic switch. Some flashlights with electronic switches have programmable features that allow users to customize the behavior of the flashlight. This may include setting specific modes, configuring brightness levels, or enabling unique functions according to individual preferences. Performance Flux Special modes are accessed with the light on by fully pressing and holding the button to access the strobe, and then the mode can be changed with half presses of the button to cycle through SOS, beacon, strobe. To exit the special modes fully press the button to turn the light off. Mode spacing appears to be progressively brighter to the eye and the modes are well spaced enough to be able to know which mode one is currently in. With that in mind, TLR tend to view mode spacing as battery life indicators (amount of runtime left) rather than the specific output (lumens). The provided lanyard is able to support the full weight of the light and should hold up to the test of time.

Daily mode (default setting): when the light is off, press the power button three times to access directly to the TURBO. The integrated advance temperature regulation (ATR) technology regulates the output of the E4K according to the working condition and ambient environment to maintain optimal performance. This light feels rather well balanced in a medium sized hand (not head/tail-heavy). Switching between overhand and underhand holding method is easy with its form factor. The knurling on the light enable it to be sufficiently “grippy”, even with wet hands/gloves. The new design of the popular headlamp provides dual primary lights; a spotlight and floodlight. The dual primary lights can be used together or independently, achieving the ideal combination of long distance throw and flood beam. In addition, the NU25 hasa red light for map viewing, emergency use, stargazing, wildlife observation and night photography. A power indicator beneath the side switch indicates the remaining battery power (Patent No. ZL201220057767.4) Disclaimer: Light was provided for by Nitecore (manufacturer) for this review. No other compensation was provided.

When STROBE mode is active, long press the power button each time to cycle through the following special modes:Everyone knows that a decent torch should be part of any good every day carry and the Nitecore E4K is perfect for this. The central body of the Nitecore E4K has a non-slip diamond-shaped knurling while in the lower part we find fins of cooling that facilitate the disposal of the heat produced during the use of the E4K at the highest light levels. This light REALLY puts out some lumens, if briefly. I like the big switch, too. I don’t care for the UI one bit, but this one’s recycled from another light where I didn’t like the UI, too. Long Review The Big Table Nitecore E4K Flashlight There is a lot of great engineering in the Nitecore E4K, the unibody is rugged yet tactile, having been CNC machined from aluminium which makes it light, tough and able to dissipate heat well.

The Nitecore E4K is a powerful flashlight with its maximum 4400 lumens but at the same time a compact EDC with excellent autonomy. As can be seen from the graphs, the "HIGH" level The Nitecore E4K is well built in aluminum alloy with anodized finish. It has a CNC-worked Unibody design and has compact dimensions measuring just over 11cm in length. The only part that can be unscrewed is the tail. has a duration of over 3 hours as per Nitecore specifications. Another advantage, which is being lost in recent times, is the possibility of using different batteries to operate the E4K. For this light, it is a YES, if the tint shift and rather interesting mode switching UI is not an issue for your usage. It has a range of brightness settings, each being able to operate for different lengths of time depending on the output:

High doesn’t have this massive stepdown, though, and holds over 1200 lumens for just under 2 hours! Since the battery has a USB-C charging input port, the flashlight can still be operated if a spare battery is available. The Nitecore E4K offers 2 user modes, daily mode and tactical mode for different users and situations. There are no holes for inserting the lanyard. The tail design is classic cap, flat base, which allows the E4K to be placed upright (candle).

From Left to Right: Nitecore HC33, Nitecore P18, Nitecore TM10K, Nitecore Concept 2, Nitecore E4K, Nitecore MH25GTS and Nitecore i4000R. Some pictures have been adjusted slightly to depict as close as to what is seen in real life. The distance of the light from the door is 4.6m.The Nitecore E4K is a compact torch that reaches 4400 lumens in TURBO mode. If tried closely, lighting a white wall, then tint has a dominant greenish that disappears when we illuminate in the distance. HOLD – Mode change (light cycles through ULTRA-LOW, LOW, MID, HIGH & TURBO → ULTRA-LOW, LOW, MID, HIGH & TURBO).
