Fronsac attempts to woo her, much to the dismay of her father and brother Jean-François (Vincent Cassel), the latter of whom is a famed hunter who seems bitter and twisted due to losing his arm.

Deep inky blacks with perfect shadow gradience with all of the fire and candle-lit interiors; it’s really quite something. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse.La Legend’ is a fascinating piece too, which has an expert explore the history and facts of the actual Beast of Gévaudan. But thankfully for you European folk, you have Studiocanal’s own release available to snatch up with an even better assortment of bonus features. As for advice, Bigueur says important it is to surround yourself with the original creatives when remastering work. A big favourite has also always been the Deleted Scenes - also included here on the bonus discs - as they have a considerably longer opening fight sequence (wisely removed as it betrays the twist behind the lead character's hidden skills), as well as some nice beats across the duration. The film looks undeniably gorgeous, with the mostly on-location settings lit and lensed beautifully, with a great sense of atmosphere.

A stunning new restoration of the director's cut of the thrilling 2001 cult classic BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF by director Christophe Gans, starring Samuel Le Bihan, Mark Dacascos, Jeremie Renier, Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci. Theatrical Cut of Brotherhood of the Wolf - presented here is shorter Theatrical Cut of Brotherhood of the Wolf. Fine lines are clean, and facial features, costumes, textures, and scenery all render beautifully with an appreciable amount of fine cinematic film grain. Loosely based on a strew of mysterious murders that occurred in 18 th Century France, this ostensible period drama is infused with some truly magical ingredients which make it at once suspenseful horror, and then all-out action-thriller; smoothly gliding between romantic interplay and highly charged sexuality; founded on a strong backbone of political and religious intrigue, and significantly energised by some truly outstanding martial arts sequences, which perfectly blend in with the rest of it, in spite of the overt anachronism.

None of the cuts are perfect, but for many the Director's Cut is the preferred version, however the elusive Theatrical Cut is a great bonus to finally get in HD and may have been been the go-to version to watch for some had it also received a seamless 4K integration.
